Our Story
For over a decade we traveled yearly to Europe and took thousands of pictures to document the things we saw and the memories we made. Friends and family took notice, and asked for us to plan their trips and vacations. However, we were still unsure, so we started following another small group travel company.
Spectacular Journeys itself started with a faint idea in 2019. But when Covid-19 hit, travel was nearly impossible, and the spark was lost in a whirlwind of quarantine, masks, and six feet distances. Making journeys spectacular would have to wait another year.
And it did. The thought of sharing travel with others surfaced again in 2021, when the Covid hassle had mostly died down and traveling was possible again. But it wasn't enacted until March 2022, when an instagram account appeared under the name of Spectacular Journeys. Soon after, in October of 2022, the website launched, and the first small group tour set off in 2023 for the Amalfi Coast. It was a hit, and Spectacular Journeys experienced intense growth and surges of activity due to a huge amount of referrals. However, we weren't prepared for that kind of development, so it was a while before we could get everything organized and run all ends of the company seamlessly.
However, in the end, we appreciated the explosive growth and the immediate trust and loyalty our clients developed with us. We are forever grateful to help people experience the joys of traveling to Europe and see the beauty of its culture, art, cuisine, and history, meet new people on small group tours, and make memories with friends and family with our private tours. It is truly a dream come true for us.
